Creators, educators, community leaders, employers, credit unions and anyone who wants to share practical financial education. All applications are reviewed and approved by our team.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. The program is free to join.
How and when am I paid?
Commissions are subject to a minimum 60-day hold from the date of the captured payment, then paid in the next approved settlement cycle (maximum $100 per settlement; larger balances carry forward). You will be asked to set up a payout method and submit a tax form before receiving payouts.
How long does my referral last?
Your referral is tracked for 90 days from the visitor's click.
What can I say when promoting Money Smarts?
Use the approved descriptions and creative in your portal. Do not promise income, investment returns or credit outcomes, and always disclose your affiliate relationship.

Affiliate disclosure and compliance
Affiliates must clearly and conspicuously disclose their financial relationship with Money Smarts near every link or endorsement, before the visitor clicks. Required example: "I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link."
Money Smarts provides financial education only. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Affiliates may not guarantee income, investment returns, credit outcomes or any specific result, and may not use misleading claims.
Program terms summary (Version 1.0)
- Commission is 20% of the eligible initial payment collected: Monthly ($9.95) earns $1.99, Annual ($79) earns $15.80, Lifetime ($179) earns $35.80. Taxes, refunds and chargebacks are excluded; no recurring commission unless authorized in writing.
- The referral tracking cookie lasts 90 days; the last eligible affiliate referral is credited.
- Commissions are subject to a minimum 60-day hold from the date of the captured payment, plus verification of settlement, refunds, chargebacks and fraud.
- Maximum payout per settlement is $100 USD per affiliate; larger balances carry forward. A payout method and tax form (W-9 or W-8) must be on file first.
- No commission on refunded, reversed, fraudulent or ineligible transactions; overpayments may be offset against future commissions.
- Prohibited: misleading or guaranteed-result claims, impersonation, fake reviews, spam, brand-keyword bidding or trademark ads without written approval, cookie stuffing, self-referrals and misuse of customer data.
- Applicants must be 18 or older and approved by Money Smarts. Participation is not employment, partnership or agency.
